Getting Molly

Well, this is all about cat mother.

She arranged with Cecil and Tom that they would cat sit for me on Saturday 4th July. They arrived at around 12 and Cat Mother was still blogging/waiting on the Virgin Media Guy (the phone hadn't been working all week)/Packing.

Miraculously, she got the 12:47 to London Victoria and then made her way to Euston to the Fast Ticket machine and was well in time for the 14:46 to Nuneaton equipped with overnight bag including laptop and iPod, cat basket and attached trolley.

At 16:16 Big Bruv picked her up from Nuneaton station and the evening pretty much passed uneventfully. It was lovely to be fed, to see the children and to watch Monkey Magic and relax.

At 3am, Cat Mother awoke from Jessica's bedroom and forced herself to stay in bed until 4 when she took Hamish and went for her 2 hour 10km walk. She returned at 6am and breakfasted and showered and together with Big Bruv, departed for Humberside at 8:05am

They arrived at Molly's house in Humberside having had one stop over at 10:45. Big Bruv sat in the car whilst Cat Mother went in with the basket. By all accounts Molly was mothering kittens and her teats were engorged however she had been neutered some 3 weeks previous.

Cat mother did the business, got Molly's papers and came away with Molly in basket, papers, cat litter (pine wood based) and some biscuits.

On the way home, they stopped of at Pets Homes in Nuneaton where Cat Mother bought toys, tag, collar and the like.

Upon arriving at Nuneaton, Molly was put in the garden and tied to the lawn mower to stop escaping. The kiddies were all enthralled with her and she seemed very affectionate.

Sunday dinner came and went and then laptop business (Office 2007) had to be done by Big Bruv. After Roast Lamb; Peaches, jelly and ice-cream, cat mother finally left the LJBs at 4:45 and caught the 16:47 to London Euston arriving there at 18:47. Then it was into a taxi from there to London Victoria as she couldn't bear to put her on the tube and then having missed the home train, a train from London Victoria to Brighton at 19:36 and finally a train from Brighton to home at 20:48. Molly arrived home at 21:00.

Course, cat mother was in a right state and put Molly on a lead tied to the swing in the garden whilst she watered it. Honey, Adelaide and myself were all mesmerized with the new addition which cat mother found rather funny.

I circled around her and she snarled at ME! as if she was the Queen of the castle!

Fortunately, Cat Mother tied her to the bathroom radiator on a very long leash which gave her control of the bathroom and the kitchen and I was able to continue to come and go through the cat flap in the lounge and the bedroom. As Cat Mother made dinner and drinks in the kitchen I occasionally went into the kitchen and sat on my stool where Cat Mother took great trouble to give me loads of strokes so I wouldn't feel left out.
Cat Mother had a shower and washed her hair and Marmite from next door landed on the ledge and as Cat Mother held Molly in her arms, Marmite just looked on totally fascinated and seemed to lick his lips suggesting that she might be an exciting new toy to play with. Well! Cat Mother wasn't having any of that and resolved to get Cat Flap magnets as soon as possible to stop the neighbourhood cats from coming in and causing any upset whilst she is away at work.

22:30 came and went and Cat Mother was tired and went to go to bed in the bedroom and then Molly started playing up. She has a very loud Miaow, not unlike a child crying and so Cat Mother moved a Thai Cushion into the kitchen and slept with Molly on her tummy until 0400 when she was due to get up and go for a walk.
